It's National Read an E-Book Week

Did you know that you can check out e-books from the library? If you have a Nook, Sony eReader, or other non-Kindle reader (sorry Kindle users) you can check out e-books from our Neibors website. Just visit our website and click on the link that will direct you to the Neibors site. There is a whole section just for e-books. All you need is your Patron number and you can check out e-books. One exciting aspect of using e-books is that you can return them to Neibors as soon as you are finished. So as soon as you are done reading one book, you can check out another one!

Take a Magazine Home for the Weekend

Don't have any big plans this weekend? Why not take home a selection of magazines to keep you busy. If you want to keep up with the world of celebrities, you should check out our issues of People or Entertainment Weekly. If you feel like trying out some new recipes, you can take home issues of Healthy Cooking or Cooking Light. If you want to stay ahead of current events, you could take home a copy of Newsweek. If you are interested in science and nature you can check out National Wildlife, National Geographic, or Astronomy Magazine. And finally, find out tips from your favorite tv personalities and take home O: The Oprah Magazine or Martha Stewart Living. These are only some of the many magazines that we have available. Current issues of magazines remain in the library, but any back issues may be checked out for three weeks.
