Don't Forget the Halloween Party!
New Puzzles @ the Library!
Our selection of puzzles at the library keeps on growing. A few weeks ago we had a very generous donation that included many wonderful puzzles. We have added several of them to the collection, so you can come in take one home to try. But be warned...many of the new puzzles are 2,000 and 3,000 pieces, so they are not for the faint of heart!

Title: Unwind
Author: Neal Shusterman
Summary: In a future world where those between the ages of thirteen and eighteen can have their lives "unwound" and their body parts harvested for use by others, three teens go to extreme lengths to uphold their beliefs--and, perhaps, save their own lives.
Carly Says: I liked how the author would switch characters each chapter. The story is an interesting topic. It's the type of book I like.

Early Out Program Was Tons of Fun
Last Thursday, a group of 3rd and 4th graders came to the library for the first early out program of the year. We made hanging Chinese paper lanterns. The kids had a great time decorating their lanterns with stamps, stickers, crepe paper, and ribbons.
Most of the children made more than one lantern, and several of them left one here at the library to use as decorations in the future.
To see more pictures from the program, you can visit our Flickr page.
Keep your eyes on the blog for information about our next early out for 1st and 2nd graders in November!
